                                               110, 120, 220 film is available at select outlets in all cities. 
                                               110, 120, 220 negative film is available thru Konica at www.konica.com
                                               110, 120, 220 film processing is done at select outlets in Bangalore, India.
                                               If at Bangalore you will find all the Velvia's, Astia, Provia 120, 220, sheet
                                               film 4 x 5 at Prabhu Foto Lab, Brigade Road, Bangalore. They also have
                                               an E6 Quality Monitoring Service.

                                               Sheet Film Processing is also available at Prabhu Foto Lab, Bangalore.

                                               Camera/Lenses Availability

                                               Plenty of outlets that sell 35MM format Cameras and Lenses. Both used 
                                               and brand new. A Wide Range of Brand New State of the Art Canon Lenses
                                               are available at the Canon Lounge at Brigade Towers, Brigade Road, Bangalore.
                                               
                                              Pentax Lenses are available at Allied Photographic, Jamshedji Tata Road, Bangalore.

                                              Some select outlets at Mumbai and Delhi sell Medium Format Cameras and lenses
                                              (Used only). Try www.jjmehta.com. He does a mail order.

                                             Camera Repair

                                             Camera Repair Shops are available in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai. Chennai,
                                             Calcutta. They claim to repair all kinds of cameras but can only be trusted
                                             with 35MM SLR Cameras. Do not take chances with other cameras. Usually
                                             they wont have the spares to repair your camera and so will take three weeks
                                             or longer to procure spares. There repair charges can be very high. Its Cheaper
                                             and more reliable to repair your Camera in the United States than here !!
                                                 
                                            Digital Camera Backs

                                            Digital Camera Backs are not available anywhere in India. But Digital SLR
                                            Cameras and Video Cameras can be purchased just about anywhere. But
                                            you certainly wont get Medium Format 33 Megapixel Digital Backs readily
                                            off the shelf anywhere in India.
                                         
                                            Camera Flash

                                            A wide choice of  Shoe Mounted Flash Units can be purchase readily off the
                                            shelf at select outlets of  Mumbai and Delhi and Chennai and Bangalore.
                                            State of the Art Master Slave Stroboscopic Flashes are available at Canon
                                            Lounge, Brigade Towers, Brigade Road with friendly staff to assist you.
                                         
                                           On the Whole ........ All in All

                                           YES New York and the American Camera Market is much cheaper than the
                                           rest of the world. Doesent matter if you are purchasing a lens or Slik Monopod
                                           the street prices in the American market are lower than the rest of the world.
                                           Of course you need to compare prices and know which outlet to burgle !!
                                           But of late outlets in India are getting a little reasonable with their pricing.
                                           Make sure your purchases are from an authorised dealer with warranty card.


                                           What is the Advantage of Film over digital ?

                                           Todays film emulsions are far superior to digital cameras !!!
                                           With film you dont have to purchase new cameras and lenses.
                                           With film even a mediocre lens with a high DMAX scanner is sufficient to be in
                                           business. Look up the Optical Charts for all lenses over the Internet and then
                                           decide on your lens purchases.
                                           Film Cameras are much cheaper than equivalent digital cameras for which the
                                           camera body alone can cost you as much as USD $3000 plus.
